Welcome to the First Edition of Brewery of the Month!
There's no better way to experience Toledo than by grabbing a pint at one of our incredible local breweries. Behind every tap is a story, a passionate team, and a place that's helping shape the city's growing craft beer scene.
That's why we're excited to launch Brewery of the Month, a new monthly feature where we'll take you inside one local brewery, share its story, highlight the beers you shouldn't miss, and introduce you to the people making it all happen.
We're kicking things off with 60cc Brewing, a neighborhood brewery on Reynolds Road that has become known for its welcoming atmosphere, motorcycle-inspired identity, and rotating lineup of craft beers. Now under new ownership, 60cc is beginning an exciting new chapter while staying true to the community that helped build it.
So grab your favorite pint, settle in, and let's get to know this month's featured brewery.
Be sure to follow @toledodispatch on Instagram for the full brewery video!

When deciding who should kick off our very first Brewery of the Month, 60cc Brewing was an easy choice. As one of Toledo's newer brewery stories under new ownership, they're building something special, and we wanted to help introduce more people to what they're creating.
From the moment you walk through the door, it's clear that 60cc is more than just a place to grab a beer. It has that neighborhood feel where regulars know each other by name, conversations happen naturally across the bar, and everyone is welcomed like they've been coming for years. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or simply curious about trying something new, the bartenders and brewers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely enjoy talking about the beer they make.
If you're looking for outstanding craft beer, friendly faces, and the kind of place where you can stay for "just one pint" and end up chatting for an hour, 60cc Brewing is well worth the visit.
60cc Brewing Interior
60cc Brewing has always been about bringing people together over great beer, and under new ownership, that mission is only getting stronger. After reopening in the summer of 2026, the team set out to honor the brewery's neighborhood roots while introducing new ideas, new recipes, and a refreshed taproom. Rather than changing what made 60cc special, the goal has been to build on it and continue creating a place where everyone feels welcome.
One of the things that immediately sets 60cc apart is its dedication to traditional Czech brewing. The brewery imported authentic LUKR side-pull faucets directly from the Czech Republic, allowing beers to be poured the way Czech pilsners were meant to be enjoyed. Unlike a standard tap, the LUKR faucet creates a dense, velvety foam that softens bitterness, enhances aroma, and produces an incredibly smooth drinking experience.
That attention to detail is on full display with Fenestra, 60cc's Czech-style pilsner. If you're visiting for the first time, it's the beer to order. Watching it being poured is part of the experience, and once you take that first sip, it's easy to understand why the brewery invested in bringing this centuries-old Czech tradition to Toledo.

The taps at 60cc Brewing
The best way to get to know 60cc Brewing is to start with the beer, and there is plenty of variety on the tap list. During our visit, we tried a little bit of everything, from classic craft styles to easy-drinking options made for a casual night out.
The standout was Fenestra, a Czech pilsner poured from 60cc’s LUKR side-pull tap. It’s crisp, smooth, and incredibly drinkable, with the kind of creamy foam that makes the pour feel like part of the experience. If you’re visiting 60cc for the first time, this is the beer to start with.
We also tried The Purdy, a West Coast IPA with a clean, hoppy profile and just the right amount of bite. It’s a great option for anyone who likes a more traditional IPA that still feels balanced and approachable.
For the flight, we sampled Route 20, a smooth cream ale; Road Rash, a hard iced tea; Wildcat, a hard seltzer; and Strawberry Springboard, a Belgian witbier with fruit. The flight showed off the range of what 60cc is doing, with something for beer lovers, casual drinkers, and anyone who may not normally reach for a craft beer.
Whether you’re there for a traditional pilsner, a hop-forward IPA, or something lighter and refreshing, 60cc has a tap list that makes it easy to find something you’ll enjoy.

What makes 60cc Brewing special isn't a packed calendar of events. It's the atmosphere.
From the moment you walk in, you'll notice the neighborhood feel. Regulars know each other by name, conversations come naturally, and the bartenders and brewers are always happy to answer questions or recommend a beer based on your taste.
60cc is both family-friendly and dog-friendly, making it a great place to meet friends, bring the family, or stop in with your pup.
Why We Love It
60cc Brewing is exactly the kind of place we love to highlight. It's welcoming, unpretentious, and passionate about great beer. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a relaxed spot to unwind, you'll feel right at home.
The knowledgeable staff, neighborhood atmosphere, and standout beers, especially the Czech-style Fenestra, made this an easy recommendation. We walked in expecting good beer and left already planning our next visit.
