Good morning, Toledo.

Really starting starting to feel like summer isn’t it? We are in the middle of 3 days in a row with highs over 85 degrees, so I hope everyone’s AC is working. Some cool news this week and a bunch of events as always. Also, by popular demand we will be adding a Friday edition to the newsletter, so expect us to be in your inbox twice per week!

In today's edition:

-A new art space settling into the downtown corridor

-Vinyl collectors finding community at the Glass City Record Show

-How The Right Direction is getting more people on bikes

Let's get to it.

News

New Gallery Space Downtown

Mind and Soul Gallery and Studios opened its doors on Madison Ave last night, bringing 6,000 square feet of renovated creative space to the historic Gardner Building. It's a solid addition to the downtown arts scene and another reason to spend more time in that part of the city.

Community Spotlight

Vinyl Hunters Find Home

The Glass City Record Show at Stranahan Theater has become a regular gathering spot for music lovers digging through crates. With over 80 vendors and a $2 entry, it's less about the transaction and more about the hunt—and the conversations that happen along the way.

It's one of those low-key traditions that keeps the local music scene connected.

Pedaling for a Purpose

The Right Direction recently brought riders together for a 15-mile journey through neighborhoods you don't usually see from a bike seat. Every registration dollar went straight to their Bikes for Kids program, putting wheels under local children who need them.

It's the kind of grassroots effort that reminds you why community matters—neighbors showing up, pedaling together, and making sure more kids get to ride.

City Updates

Perrysburg Partners with YMCA

Perrysburg just locked in a new pool contract with Fort Meigs YMCA, a move that keeps community swim access steady and strengthens the partnership between the city and the Y. It's a practical step that benefits families and regular swimmers alike.

The agreement ensures programming continues without interruption, which is always a win when it comes to keeping local amenities running smoothly.
